The car park has been created with a link path to the forest track across Peaton Road. The work party has finished the decking on the bottom path is now working on specific areas of the path that needs some improvement. It was noted by some of the work party members that the reserve is starting to come alive as spring aproaches. Frogs and Toads are now in full breeding mode with spawn being produced in just about every damp area. Mallard ducks have been seen checking out the pond and a black grouse female was spotted. Due to the severe weather no other work was attempted. In addition to laying boardwalk work was also started on the access ramps. A family of Jays were heard having a heated discussion about who they thought would be chosen as the new Dr Who.
